What to do when a fault happens
If you notice a burning smell, smoke or sparks, switch off the main breaker and do not switch the circuit back on. If a breaker trips repeatedly, unplug the appliances on that circuit instead of forcing it, and call us.
Never touch faults on wet floors, in junction boxes with rainwater ingress or in outdoor lighting — these carry a real risk of electric shock.
